Computer already started:

1.) Click the start button and select run.
2.) Type "cmd" and press enter or click OK.
3.) This will open a DOS window.
4.) Now type "ping 66.207.234.1" and press enter.
5.) If DSL is working properly you will get some replies
from  66.207.234.1 If working go to section

6.) If you get a message" request time out" you will need to
find out what your IP address is.
7.) In the same DOS window type "ipconfig", should list IP
      configuration for your adapters.
8.) When "IP configuration" is displayed there will be a
listing for either your internal DSL modem or Ethernet
card for external DSL  modem. (Ethernet card or
       Efficient Networks 3060 Speadstream)
9.) Once you have located the correct adapter
the IP address should change to a variation of
       66.207.*.*.
10.) If IP address is anything other than numbers listed you
can type "ipconfig/release" and once it is released type
"ipconfig/renew".  If DSL is working properly IP
address should change to a variation of 66.207.*.*.
11.) When you type "iconfig/renew" and it returns an error
of IP  address of 169.*.*.* Restart the computer for
internal DSL modems or reset the external DSL
modem and the computer for external modem users.
